Website project brief

Let's build you
something brilliant.

Tell us about your business and the site you have in mind. The more you share, the sharper your build. Answer what you can, there are no wrong answers, and "not sure" is a perfectly good one. It takes about 15 minutes.

1

Section one

You and your business

The basics so we know who we are talking to.

Town or region, and whether you serve locally, Australia-wide or beyond.
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, whatever you use.
So we know who to run big decisions past. It might just be you.
Nice start. That is the admin out of the way.
2

Section two

What you do, and what makes you you

Imagine you are telling someone at a barbecue.
The real reason people pick you. This shapes your whole site.
More bookings, a new location, a new product line, less admin, anything.
This is the heart of it. Thank you.
3

Section three

What this website is for

What has prompted this? What is the current site (or lack of one) costing you?
What is the main job of the new site? (tick all that apply)
e.g. call you, book a job, buy, fill in the enquiry form.
A real, measurable outcome is gold. e.g. "10 enquiries a month", "bookings without the phone tag".
Now we know what we are aiming at.
4

Section four

Your dream client

Who are they, what are they like, and why are they perfect for you?
The problem, worry or moment that sends them searching.
Where are your customers? (tick all that apply)
The clearer the client, the sharper the site.
5

Section five

Your current website

Do you have a website right now?
If you have a site, the rest of this section is for you
Be specific if you can. "It looks dated" and "the enquiry form never worked" are both useful.
WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, GoDaddy, not sure.
Knowing what to keep and kill saves you money.
6

Section six

Competitors and inspiration

Paste a couple of links if you can, and a line on what works or does not.
Three to five is perfect, and they can be from any industry. The "why" matters as much as the link. This is the single best steer you can give us.
Just as useful. It helps us steer clear.
Paste a Pinterest link, a Google Drive or Dropbox link, or Dribbble and Behance links. Anything you have pinned or saved that captures the feel you want.
Colours, styles, layouts, cliches, a look you can't stand.
Show us what you love. It tells us more than words.
7

Section seven

The look and feel

e.g. bold, warm, trustworthy. Or premium, calm, modern. Pick the three that matter most.
What kind of imagery feels right? (tick all that apply)
Which way do you lean? (optional)
This is where your site starts to get a personality.
8

Section eight

Your brand assets

What you already have, and where you would like a hand. If you do not have something, no stress, that is often where we come in.

Do you have a logo?
Do you have set brand colours?
Do you have brand fonts?
Do you have brand guidelines?
Do you have good photos of your business, work or products?
If you ticked "no" or "needs work" above, that is completely normal, and it is one of the things we do best. We can design your logo, set your colours and fonts, and sort your brand and photography as part of the build. Tell us below and we will include options and pricing in your proposal.
Want us to help with any of these? (tick all that apply)
Sharing your files. The easiest way to get us your logo, photos and any brand files is to pop them all in a Google Drive or Dropbox folder and share it with josh@underseage.studio. Send the full logo folder if you have it (not just a screenshot), so we get the proper editable versions. Drop the folder link below, or just email it across.
In Google Drive or Dropbox, right-click the folder, Share, set it to "anyone with the link", then paste the link here.
No branding yet is not a problem. It is an opportunity.
9

Section nine

Pages and features

What pages do you think you will need? (tick all that apply, we will advise too)
Any of these features? (tick all that apply)
Booking systems, a CRM, Mailchimp, a POS, accounting software, etc.
Not sure what you need? That is what we are here for.
10

Section ten

Words and content

Do you have the words for the site written, or need a hand?
Privacy policy, terms, that kind of thing. We can sort these.
Words are half the site. We can carry that load.
11

Section eleven

Getting found

How important is it that people find you on Google, and in AI answers?
More and more people ask ChatGPT and the like for recommendations. We can build your site to show up in both.
A beautiful site nobody finds is a waste. We build for both.
12

Section twelve

The technical bits

Do not worry if you do not know these. "Not sure" is genuinely fine, we will help you find out.

e.g. you, a past web person, GoDaddy, Crazy Domains, not sure.
Do you have addresses like you@yourbusiness.com.au, or would you like us to set that up?
We will untangle the technical side for you.
13

Section thirteen

Timeline, budget and working together

An event, a season, a financial year, or just "as soon as sensible".
Do you have a budget in mind for the build? (optional)
A rough range helps us shape the right site for you, and be upfront. There is no right answer.
After launch, would you like us to look after it for you?
A care plan keeps your site secure, updated, backed up and supported, so you never have to think about it. It can also include content updates and marketing.
Anything else you are interested in? (tick all that apply, no pressure)
Being upfront now means no surprises later.
14

Section fourteen

Anything else

A dream, a worry, a detail, a wild idea. This is your space.
That is everything. You legend.

One last step

Send it to underseage

Hit send and this lands straight in our inbox. We will read every word and come back to you with next steps and a proposal shaped around exactly what you have told us.

Want a copy for yourself? Download or print your answers any time, before or after you send.

A note on your files: the quickest way to get us your logo, photos and brand files is a shared Google Drive or Dropbox folder shared to josh@underseage.studio. You can drop the link in section eight, or just email it once you have sent this.
